  • WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

    We deliver to Delaware and Maryland on Tuesdays, Virginia on Wednesdays and D.C. on Thursdays. A full list of neighborhoods is available here. If your town is not on the list, but is within the general footprint, chances are almost 100% we can service your neighborhood. We always welcome any suggestions for new areas!

  • DO I NEED TO BE HOME TO RECEIVE A DELIVERY?

    No. In fact, the majority of our deliveries are left for folks in pre-determined spots at their homes. If your spot is unprotected from the elements, we will put the box in a big plastic bag (please recycle it!) in the case of inclement weather. If you are ordering meat or dairy, we do require that you leave us a cooler with an ice pack or two, to keep your items cold until you get home. 

  • CAN I GET A DELIVERY AT AN APARTMENT BUILDING?

    Sure!! We ask that you let the front desk staff know that we will be coming and we will leave it with them or bring it up to your apartment door. If you live in a building without a front desk, you may make arrangements with a neighbor to buzz us in or you can give us a key to your building and we'll leave the box in front of your door.

  • WHEN WILL THE BOXES BE DELIVERED?

    You can see detailed information to this question in the When & Where section of The Particulars, but briefly - We deliver in Delaware and Maryland on Tuesday, Virginia on Wednesday and DC on Thursday and Friday.

  • IF I'M HAVING MY BOX LEFT FOR ME OUTSIDE, DO YOU EVER HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE PRODUCE GETTING TOO HOT IN THE SUMMER OR TOO COLD IN THE WINTER?

    In the 20 years that we've been doing this we have not had more then a couple of  casualties. As always, if there is a problem with any of the items in your box, please let us know and we will credit you right away, or if you prefer, make it up to you on your next delivery with extra portions of an item from the list of your choosing. If you are ordering meat or dairy items, and won't be home to accept delivery, we do ask that you leave a cooler with ice-packs.  We'll place any items that need to be kept cold in your cooler.

  • WHAT IF THERE ARE ITEMS THAT I NEVER WANT TO RECEIVE BECAUSE I AM ALLERGIC TO THEM OR I KNOW MY FAMILY WON'T EAT THEM?

    We encourage you to make substitutions for items that you would rather not receive. If there are any items that you never want to receive, you can note it in your customer profile and and we'll be sure not to deliver them...ever. If you have not had a chance to make your substitution and there is a "never deliver" item on that week's list, we will make a substitution for you based on your past preferences.

  • DO I HAVE TO GET THE BOX EVERY WEEK?

    Nope. There is never any obligation or contract to sign or commit to. Try us once, get the box every week, every other week or just when you call us...it's totally up to you! All we ask is that if you need to cancel, you let us know by 8PM, the night before your scheduled delivery, so we can take you out of our routes and not prepare a box for you.

  • DO YOU RECYCLE THE BOXES?

    Yes we do!! We ask that you please leave your flattened boxes (if you have only one you don't need to flatten it) for us on delivery day. Of course, if you have a need for it, feel free to keep it and use it.  We also keep an inventory of boxes that are in pretty-good condition for any need of boxes you might have...whether you are moving, or just need some to pack up un-needed clothes for a shelter.
